Department of Chemistry / Bio-Chemistry

Dept. Manual UG
Dept. Manual PG

VISION
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry endeavors to prepare  students to compete  and contribute to the ever-changing, technology-centered world.
MISSION
To prepare youth for research, higher studies and industry.
Chemistry deals with the chemical nature, function, structure, energetic and pathways of synthesis and degradation of simple to complex biological and/or cellular molecules to understand the various aspects of cellular and molecular functions in development, health and disease with applications in Biotechnology and medicine.
The department of Chemistry  provide a curriculum and environment that enables students to achieve a level of knowledge of chemistry / biochemistry .The chemistry faculty members are committed to advancing science through publications, creation of intellectual property, outreach activities, seminars, and education of the scientific workforce.
The department offers a curriculum balanced between theoretical learning and training in experimental methods, with the aim of nurturing qualified scientists with flexible application capabilities of specialized knowledge in the fields of physical, organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and high molecule chemistry. Students will be guided to understand modern chemistry through direct participation in their professors’ research projects, and will be trained to obtain application capabilities that will serve as a foundation for academic research as well as industrial development. The graduate program & post graduate programs offer physical, organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry, and biochemistry. We train our students to obtain ability and creativity in solving problems according to each field
The role of Chemist is extremely important in almost all the fields like
