21-08-2025

The Department of BSc EMCs organized a thought-provoking club activity program titled “Clash of Minds: Debating the Future of AI” on 21st August 2025. The event was exclusively conducted for all the students of B.Sc. EMCS across semesters with the objective of encouraging critical thinking, enhancing communication skills, and fostering awareness about the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in various fields.

The central theme of the debate was “Generative AI harms creativity more than it helps it.” Students were divided into teams and actively participated by presenting arguments and against the motion. Participants explored multiple dimensions of the topic including creativity, originality, ethical concerns, intellectual property, and the evolving role of human imagination in an AI-driven world.

After three sets of questions, a winner of the competition was declared. The session concluded with a vote of thanks to the participants, the department, and the students.
