The Department of Computer Science at M S Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce successfully organised the MCA Induction Program from the 31st of October to the 7th of November 2025, with 59 participants attending sessions from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This week-long program welcomed the new cohort of MCA students and provided them with an introduction to the department, the academic framework, campus resources, and vital technical, managerial, and professional skills. Students engaged in sessions that covered programming, software development, cryptography, computer organization, computer networks, and emerging technologies such as Generative AI and the Internet of Things (IoT). Additionally, the program featured soft skills training, insights into general management, sessions on professional etiquette, exposure to library and research tools like ProQuest, and familiarization with platforms such as Linways ERP and LanQuill. Throughout the week, industry experts and faculty members offered invaluable guidance, assisting students in building confidence, enhancing communication and teamwork skills, and understanding industry expectations. The induction concluded with lively cultural activities and a talent hunt during Fresher’s Day, promoting interaction and a sense of community.
