Industrial Visit

Industrial Visit to ISRO

Date: 9th July 2025

During their recent visit to ISRO, the students attended an engaging lecture on satellites, their components, and ISRO’s future plans. The interactive session, led by a knowledgeable speaker, provided a detailed explanation of satellite technology, including communication, navigation, Earth observation, and scientific satellites, along with key components such as payloads, buses, solar panels, and propulsion systems. The objectives of the visit included inspiring students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and space research; understanding ISRO’s significant role in national development and global space exploration; and gaining educational exposure to India’s space missions and satellite innovations. The students also learned about India’s remarkable space journey—from Aryabhata in 1975 and SLV-3’s successful launch of Rohini in 1980 to landmark missions such as Chandrayaan-1’s discovery of water on the Moon, Mangalyaan’s successful Mars orbit in 2013, Chandrayaan-3’s historic landing on the Moon’s south pole in 2023, Aditya-L1’s solar mission, and XPoSat’s advancement in X-ray polarimetry, with the upcoming Gaganyaan mission marking India’s first human spaceflight. Overall, the industrial visit to ISRO was highly enriching, offering valuable insights into real-time applications of technology in space research and satellite communication, and broadening the students’ understanding of how theoretical concepts are applied in cutting-edge industries.
