ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA

UG-Programmes Eligibility Criteria

BACHELOR of COMMERCE (B.Com)

  • Candidates who have completed two years of pre-university course (10+2/PUC) from the Karnataka state board or its equivalent from other states/boards with 50% or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this course. Candidate should have studied Accountancy as one of the subjects.
  • Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
  • Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
  • Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

BACHELOR of COMMERCE (B.Com-ACCA)

  • Candidates who have completed two years of pre-university course (10+2/PUC) from the Karnataka state board or its equivalent from other states/boards with 50% or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this course. Candidate should have studied Accountancy as one of the subjects.

BACHELOR of BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA)

  • Candidates who have completed two years of pre-university course (10+2/PUC) from Karnataka state board or its equivalent from other states/boards with 50% or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this course.
  • Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
  • Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
  • Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

BACHELOR of COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (BCA)

  • Any student who has passed PUC/10+2/Pre-University equivalent courses in Science, Arts or Commerce securing a minimum of 50% of marks is eligible.
  • Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
  • Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
  • Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

BBACHELOR of SCIENCE (BSC-physical sciences)

  • Candidates who have completed two years of pre-university course (10+2/PUC) in Science stream with mathematics/ Computer Science as one of the subjects from Karnataka State Board or its equivalent from other states/board with 40% or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this programme.
  • Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
  • Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
  • Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

BACHELOR of SCIENCE (BSC-Life sciences)

  • Candidates who have completed two years of pre-university course (10+2/PUC) in the Science stream with Biology/Botny from Karnataka State Board or its equivalent from other states/boards with 40% or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this programme. Candidate should have studied Biology as one of the subjects.
  • Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
  • Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
  • Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

BACHELOR of ARTS (BA)

  • Candidates who have completed two years of pre-university course (10+2/PUC) from Karnataka State Board or its equivalent from other states/boards with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA are eligible for admission into this programme.
  • Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
  • Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
  • Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.

PG-Programmes Eligibility Criteria

MCA (Master of Computer Applications)

  • Admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme shall be open for the candidates who have passed Bachelor degree with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examination with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the core or elective course at degree level or graduate degree from a recognized University with Mathematics at 10+2 level.
  • National Level Written Test for MBA programme: All the aspiring candidates should write the national level CMAT conducted by AICTE/ MAT conducted by AIMA/KMAT (Karnataka exam). The score secured in any of these tests is necessary to complete the application form

MBA (Master of Business Administration)

  • Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor's degree (10+2+3), from a recognized university in disciplines of Commerce, Management, Arts, Science, Engineering/Technology, or equivalent and have secured not less than 50% of Marks in aggregate (including languages) in the Bachelor's Degree Examination are eligible for admission to this programme.
  • National Level Written Test for MBA programme: All the aspiring candidates should write the national level CMAT conducted by AICTE/ MAT conducted by AIMA/KMAT (Karnataka exam). The score secured in any of these tests is necessary to complete the application form

M.Com (MASTER of COMMERCE)

  • Candidates having a degree in Commerce or management or a bachelor's degree of 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements for the undergraduate programme from a recognized Indian/ Foreign university with 50% marks or Equivalent CG PA) and 50% marks in the cognate (Accountancy) subject are eligible to apply.

MSc Biochemistry

  • Graduates who have secured 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects and 50% marks in Chemistry or Biochemistry (as cognate subject) and studied Biology at PUC or 10+2 level.)

MSc Organic Chemistry

  • Graduates who have secured 40% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects and 50% marks in Chemistry (cognate subject) and studied Mathematics at least at 10 +2 or PUC level.

MSc Microbiology

  • a) B.Sc. graduates with any Life Science Subject, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate of all optional subjects are eligible. B.Sc. graduates in Biotechnology and B.Sc. (Hons.) graduates in Biotechnology/Biology/Botany / Microbiology/Zoology are also eligible provided they have secured 50% marks in the aggregate of all the optional subjects.
  • b) In the absence of candidates in (a), Graduates in Agricultural Science, Dairy Sciences, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Pharmacy, Engineering (Biotechnology), Medicine/ Dental or Agricultural Engineering, with 50% marks in the aggregate are eligible.
  • c) Bachelor degree in life science with subjects such as chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Microbiology/Botany/Zoology/Food Technology/ Home Science/Food Science and Nutrition/ Food Science and Quality Control /Clinical Nutrition/Agriculture and B. Tech Degree in Biotechnology/ Agricultural Engineering.

MSc Biotechnology

  • a) B.Sc. graduates with any Life Science Subject, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate of all optional subjects are eligible. B.Sc. graduates in Biotechnology and B.Sc. (Hons.) graduates in Biotechnology/Biology/Botany / Microbiology/Zoology are also eligible provided they have secured 50% marks in the aggregate of all the optional subjects.
  • b) In the absence of candidates in (a), Graduates in Agricultural Science, Dairy Sciences, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries, Pharmacy, Engineering (Biotechnology), Medicine/ Dental or Agricultural Engineering, with 50% marks in the aggregate are eligible.
  • c) Bachelor degree in life science with subjects such as chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Microbiology/Botany/Zoology/Food Technology/ Home Science/Food Science and Nutrition/ Food Science and Quality Control /Clinical Nutrition/Agriculture and B. Tech Degree in Biotechnology/ Agricultural Engineering.
