General Information on R&D

The Research Center at MS Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (MSRCASC) stands as a cornerstone for driving innovation, advancing knowledge, and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration. With a focus on addressing contemporary challenges, the center brings together students, faculty, and industry experts to engage in impactful research and technological development.

The center's mission is to cultivate a research-driven culture that contributes to academic excellence, industry growth, and societal progress. Equipped with two laboratories featuring both basic and specialized tools, it supports research activities across various fields, including basic sciences, food science, biotechnology, and healthcare.

SRCASC consistently encourages its faculty from the Arts, Science, and Commerce departments to engage in research through initiatives like the “SEED MONEY GRANT,” which provides funding for research projects. The college also recognizes and rewards faculty publications with attractive incentives.

Recently, the dynamic science faculty has applied for several government-funded projects, including the SERB-POWER grant for women scientists, the DST-FIST program to establish a center for excellence, and VGST-GRE and VGST-ECRA grants. The college is also a regular recipient of KSCST student project funds.

In addition to supporting faculty, the Research Center plays a crucial role in the professional development of students by offering internships, organizing workshops, and providing opportunities for publishing research in both national and international journals. The center further encourages students to present their research findings at conferences, both within India and abroad.

Overall, the Research Center at MSRCASC fosters a vibrant environment of inquiry, creativity, and problem-solving, positioning the institution as a leader in research and innovation.
