Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce

Dr. M.S. Ramaiah, a visionary and philanthropist, established Gokula Education Foundation (GEF) in the year 1962, to deliver education and healthcare for the betterment of mankind. The Gokula Education Foundation as a registered Trust runs several educational institutions under the flagship of GEF, M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce (MSRCASC) was established in 1994. The college is permanently affiliated to Bengaluru City University (BCU). The institution has received the autonomous status from UGC, Government of Karnataka and Bengaluru City University from the academic year 2023-24. The Institution is recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act of 1956. The Institution is reaccredited with an "A" grade by NAAC in its 4th cycle in the year November 2021. Its Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application programme are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. It has been ranked number 87 in the college category under National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 making it one of the best colleges in Karnataka. The Institution is being selected under the DBT-STAR College Scheme in 2022 by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The Department of Biotechnology of the institution is been recognized as a Research Centre by Bengaluru City University in 2022. The college is in the process of recognition as Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Centre. The Institution has a unique learning platform offering multidisciplinary programs that play a pioneering role in providing academic excellence. The Institution offers 08 Undergraduate programs and 07 Postgraduate programs in the streams of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management with more than 2904 students. Further, with the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, currently 15 Undergraduate honors programs and established Research Center in the Department of Biotechnology. Now as per SEP we are offering Eight UG Programmes and Seven PG Programmes. The college has an excellent track record of obtaining consistently several University ranks and gold medals in various courses offered.

  • Postgraduate Programs: MBA, M.Com., and M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Microbiology.

Currently, we have over 2,700 students enrolled in both UG and PG programs. Our college boasts a strong record of Bangalore University ranks, gold medalists, and distinctions in university examinations.
