Term: The Governing Body shall be reconstituted every five years.
Meetings: Meetings shall be held at least once every six months.
Quorum: Presence of a minimum of 50% of members shall constitute the quorum.
Functions of the Governing Body
- Guide the Autonomous College in fulfilling the objectives of autonomous status.
- Institute scholarships, fellowships, medals, prizes, and certificates on Academic Council recommendations.
- Approve new programmes of study leading to degrees and/or diplomas.
- Approve recruitment of teaching faculty and Principal as per UGC and State Government norms.
- Approve the annual budget of the Autonomous College.
- Perform other functions and constitute committees as required for institutional development.
