Duration of course - 4 years Multidisciplinary Programme - BSc Honours

Biotechnology department was started in the year 1999 which has provided a strong foundation for students from all parts of India to cater the quest of knowledge in Science & Technology. Department has taken keen interest in moulding the scientific inquisitiveness of the students by meritorious and experienced faculty members who have doctoral degrees from India and foreign universities. Our teaching pedagogy has infrastructure with spacious classrooms having state of art teaching facilities such as digital projectors and display boards. Our department has been recognised by Bangalore City University as Research centre for providing research ambience for promoting research in established and innovative technologies to augment the quality of students, faculty, and research. We have two research laboratories one for students and another exclusively for research purpose. Biotechnology department has both plant tissue culture and animal cell culture laboratories.
