Management is a universal phenomenon. It is a very popular and widely used term. All organizations – business, political, cultural or social are involved in management because it is the management which helps and directs the various efforts towards a definite purpose. According to Harold Koontz, “Management is an art of getting things done through and with the people in formally organized groups. It is an art of creating an environment in which people can perform and individuals and can co-operate towards attainment of group goals”.
The department of Management offers both under graduate and post graduate courses. The department takes interest in the development of the students, empowering them with entrepreneurial and decision making skills by providing an excellent academic environment, inculcating values of discipline, dignity, dedication and devotion , to make them better citizens.The faculty of the department are encouraged to attend refresher and orientation courses, workshops, seminars and conferences. Further the department organizes workshops, seminars every year Though all teachers are engaged in the academic counselling, all the faculty members in the department guide the students at the time of enrolment, for competitive examinations and placements. Students are also encouraged to take participation in sports and extra curricular activities.
