INDUSTRIAL VISIT – IISc

Department of EMCs organized industrial visit for IISC on 01-03-2025 for the 1st BSc (EMCs). Students immersed themselves in experimental learning focused on electronics and modern technological developments. Student team was guided by Rithu R and Shilpa N Assistant Professor Dept. Of EMCs.

Students visited the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, on the occasion of IISc Open Day, a flagship annual event where the campus is opened to the public to showcase ongoing research, innovations, and laboratory demonstrations. The visit aimed to provide students with exposure to real-time scientific research, advanced laboratory environments, and upcoming technological trends.

During the visit, students explored various research departments including Electrical Sciences, Computer Science. Each department presented live models, research posters, prototype demonstrations, science experiments, and interactive sessions explaining concepts such as robotics, sensor technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity etc.

An industrial visit to Infosys was organized under the Infosys Student Connect Program on 15 February 2025 for the students of BSc EMCs Department of BSc. Computer Science, MSRCASC College. The program was coordinated by Mr./Ms. Shilpa.N (Faculty Coordinator) along with A total of 55 students participated in this visit.

Infosys is a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting. The company provides software development, maintenance, and independent validation services to companies in various domains such as finance, manufacturing, insurance, and other industries. The organization is known for its strong corporate governance, employee-friendly policies, advanced training infrastructure, and innovation-driven culture. The Infosys Student Connect Program is an initiative aimed at strengthening industry–academia collaboration by engaging with students through visits, webinars, training modules, and mentoring.

To provide exposure to real-time IT industry operations, including software development, testing, project management, and corporate workflow. To understand the application of Electronics, Mathematics, and Computer Science concepts used in Infosys projects, such as automation, data analytics, algorithm design, and digital systems. To familiarize students with modern technologies such as AI, cloud computing, machine learning, automation tools, and enterprise applications used in the IT sector.

To gain insights into the skills expected from graduates, including programming, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and communication skills. To learn about career pathways, internship opportunities, certifications, and training programs available for B.Sc. graduates in Infosys. To motivate students to align their academic development with industry demands through additional learning, projects, and technology certifications.
