EVENT: VALUE ADDED PROGRAM ON DATA SCIENCE

Date: 14-09-2024 to 18-10-2024

Venue: 410 Computer Lab

A value added program on Data Science was organized for first-year B.Sc. (EMCs) students by the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with Technofly Solutions. The program aimed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and practical applications of data science.

The program covered key aspects of the data science lifecycle, including:

  • Data Collection: Compiling relevant data from multiple sources such as social media, databases, APIs, and sensors.
  • Data Preparation and Cleaning: Preparing data for analysis by cleaning and transforming it to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Data Analysis: Identifying patterns, trends, and insights using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Data Visualization: Communicating findings effectively through visual representations of data.
  • Data Interpretation: Drawing meaningful conclusions and insights from analyzed data.

The program provided students with practical exposure to data-driven problem-solving and enhanced their analytical thinking, preparing them for future academic and industry-oriented challenges.

Value Added Program on Generative AI

Value-Added Program on Generative AI

Date: 8th, 9th & 11th April 2025

The Department of EMCS, M S Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce successfully conducted a three-day Value-Added Program on Generative AI from 08/04/2025 to 11/04/2025, held in the Computer Science Lab (410), MSRCASC.

The objectives of the program were to encourage innovation and experimentation using AI tools and techniques, enhance problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration skills, and develop technical and presentation skills.

The program improved understanding of AI technologies, boosted creativity, encouraged collaborative learning, strengthened public speaking skills, and inspired interest in further research and development in AI.
