Awareness Program on Drug Abuse and Cyber Crimes

The Department of English, in collaboration with the NCC & NSS Wing, successfully organized an “Awareness Program on Drug Abuse and Cyber Crimes” on 19th January 2025 at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium. The event aimed to educate students and faculty on the dangers of drug abuse and the increasing risks of Cyber Crimes.

The program was graced by the presence of distinguished guests Mr. Girish, Police Inspector, Sadashivanagar Police Station, Ms. Manisha Bhatt, Founder & Director, Aarohan Foundation, Mr. Vinay, Director, Aarohan Foundation. The event was hosted by Prof. Aarthy Sajith, who ensured the smooth flow of the program. The program commenced with a welcome speech by Prof. B.S. Jayaram, who highlighted the importance of addressing drug abuse and Cyber Crimes in today's society. Mr. Girish shared valuable insights on the increasing cases of Cyber Crimes and drug-related offenses, emphasizing the role of law enforcement in tackling these issues.
