Event Details: Book Donation Drive “Ativara”

Objective: The main objective behind this drive is to create awareness about the unused papers and converting them into a further usable notebook. A helpful gesture towards the needy by proper utilization of unused resources and also to help the needy primary school children with recycled writing note books.

Students of Department of Management Studies- BBA, M S Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce conducted a Book Donation Drive ‘ATIVARA’. A gesture of reuse and social responsibility on 11 th January 2023 at Government Primary School Mathikere, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

At 2:30 PM, Dr. M Lakshmipathi Naidu, Mr. Narayana B, and Mrs. Evelyn Nischitha along with the students of BBA left to Gandhi Vidyalaya, Dollars Colony and reached the venue by 2:45 PM. On arriving to the location, Faculties and students from BBA department were welcomed by the school children and Head Mistress of Government Primary School Mathikere. At 3:00 PM the desk was arranged with the reusable note books ready to be distributed. The books are made out of unused sheets from the records. The books prepared by the students

Before distribution, an encouraging speech was given by the school Head Mistress and Dr. M Lakshmipathi Naidu regarding the usage of recycled papers as a means of protecting environment. Every student of Government Primary School Mathikere stood in line and received the note books from the hands of Dr. M Lakshmipathi Naidu and students of BBA. After completion of the book distribution, the Students of MSRCASC along with thefaculties reached the college by 5:00 PM.

For the event “ATIVARA” to be successful, all the BBA students came together for collection of unused papers, left over from assignment books and skill development record book. The unused papers were removed from the used books and manuals, further students segregated those papers in respective sizes and converted them into books. Students took an active participation throughout the event.

The books were latter distributed to around 60 students of Government School by 30 student volunteers of BBA Department of MSRCASC. The school children were excited to receive the books and it served the purpose of spreading happiness.

The entire drive of book donation was handled by Mr. Anirudh K N, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, Mr. Varun Onkar, Mr. Rajdeep and team under the guidance of Dr. M Lakshmipathi Naidu, Head of the Department and Mr. Narayana B, Assistant Professor, Faculty Coordinator, witha constant support from Institute Management.
