Career Guidance- “Soft Skills and Technical Training”

Date:2nd July to 5th July 2026

The Department of MCA organized a four-day Soft Skills and Technical Training Programme from 2nd July 2026 to 5th July 2026 for MCA II semester students.

The programme was conducted by Ms. Parvathi, Ms. Shaik Dilshad, and Mr. Shreyas Rao, Technical Trainers from Ethnus, Bangalore. The sessions were designed to equip students with essential communication skills and strengthen their technical knowledge in Java Programming and Data Structures. By combining interactive soft skills training with hands-on technical learning, the programme prepared students for campus recruitment, internships, and professional careers while enhancing their confidence, problem-solving abilities, and technical competencies.



Career Guidance on Cracking an Interview

The Department of MCA organized a skill-enhancement session titled “Cracking an Interview” for the 3rd Semester MCA students on 26 November 2025, delivered by Prof. Rajgopal from the Department of English, renowned for his expertise in communication and interview preparation. The session aimed to equip students with essential techniques, including understanding the fundamentals of interview preparation, improving communication skills and body language, answering HR and technical questions effectively, and building a strong resume. Through practical strategies, real-life examples, and interactive discussions, the session provided valuable insights that boosted students' confidence and helped them understand interview expectations clearly. Overall, the session proved highly beneficial and motivated the students to prepare themselves more effectively for future placements and internship opportunities.



Entrepreneurship Excellence: Future Founders Fellowship Program

Date: 2nd to 4th January 2024

The Department of MCA organized an awareness session on the “Future Founders Fellowship Program” by INDPRO for 1st Semester MCA students, with a total participation of 60 students. The program is aimed at inspiring and nurturing entrepreneurial talent among students from various academic backgrounds. During the session, students were introduced to the fellowship’s objectives, which include helping them explore their entrepreneurial potential, understand the fundamentals of starting and managing a venture, and develop key skills in innovation and leadership. The initiative encouraged students to think creatively, engage in problem-solving, and consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path.


Student Enablement Program on Generative AI

Dates: 6th to 8th January 2025

The Department of MCA organized a three-day Student Enablement Program on Generative AI in collaboration with Infosys Springboard, held from 6th to 8th January 2025. The objective of the program was to empower students with essential knowledge and hands-on understanding of modern AI tools and techniques, particularly in the domain of Generative Artificial Intelligence.

The sessions were conducted by Mrs. Girija T R, Senior Analyst – Education, Training & Assessments, Infosys Limited, Bangalore. Her sessions were structured and interactive, providing students with a strong conceptual foundation and practical exposure to Generative AI. The workshop covered key topics such as the fundamentals of AI, the evolution of generative models, prompt engineering, applications of generative AI in various industries, and responsible AI practices.


Poster Presentation - TECHTONIC

Date:15th January 2025

The Department of MCA organized the inauguration of the MCA Club “TECHTONIC” in the 6th Floor Corridor, creating an engaging platform that encourages student innovation, creativity, and collaboration. As part of the inaugural celebration, a Poster Presentation Competition was conducted to encourage creative and innovative thinking among MCA students. The event was coordinated by Ms. Nagalambika Swamy and Lt. Lakshita H. S. Murthy, Assistant Professors, Department of MCA. The inauguration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, contributing to the successful launch of the club and setting a positive tone for future activities.


IT Quiz on National Technology Day

The IT Quiz, organized by the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), serves as an effective educational and evaluative tool rather than merely a test of memory. It is designed to assess, strengthen, and expand participants’ understanding of key areas in the IT domain, including computer hardware, software applications, programming languages, networking, and emerging technologies. In an era where the digital landscape evolves rapidly, staying updated with technological advancements has become essential. IT quizzes provide an engaging and structured platform that encourages learners to remain informed, curious, and motivated. By incorporating multiple-choice, true/false, and scenario-based questions, the quiz evaluates not only factual knowledge but also conceptual clarity and logical reasoning, making it particularly beneficial in academic settings.
