AIXCELERATE – Accelerate into the World of AI

Date: 8th -12th June 2026

The Department of MCA, M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), organized a five-day Value Added Program titled “AIXCELERATE – Accelerate into the World of AI” from 8th to 12th June 2026 for II Semester MCA students. Guided by Dr. Prathiba Kalburgi, HOD, and coordinated by Lt. Lakshitha H. S. Murthy and Dr. Safira Begum, the program was conducted by Mr. Vijay B. R. and Ms. Megha B. S. from Mevi Technologies LLP.

The sessions covered Python Programming, Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI through hands-on training. A total of 57 students participated, gaining practical skills in AI technologies and industry-relevant tools, enhancing their readiness for careers in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Objectives

• To build a strong foundation in Python programming and problem-solving skills.
• To introduce Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning concepts.
• To provide practical experience in data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
• To familiarize students with Generative AI tools, prompt engineering, and AI applications.
• To enhance industry readiness and career opportunities in AI and Data Science.

Value Added Program – “Mastering DevOps”

Date:5th -9th Jan 2026

The Department of MCA, M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), organized a five-day Value Added Program titled “Mastering DevOps – A Hands-on Journey from CI/CD to Monitoring Excellence” from 5th to 9th January 2026 for MCA 3rd sem students.

The objective of the program was to provide students with practical exposure to Linux administration, version control systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools used in real-world software development and deployment environments. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Mahadeva Prasad L, an experienced IT professional with strong expertise in Linux systems, AWS cloud, and DevOps technologies.

Skill Development Program on “Basics of Programming”

Date: 2nd January to 31st March 2025.

The Department of MCA organized a Skill Development Program on “Basics of Programming” from 2nd January to 31st March 2025, exclusively designed for 1st semester MCA students to build a strong foundation in programming using the C language. The sessions were conducted by Dr. Safira Begum, Assistant Professor, MSRCASC, who systematically introduced fundamental programming concepts and guided students through practical problem-solving exercises. The program aimed to enhance students’ logical thinking, coding proficiency, and confidence in core programming skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for advanced courses. All MCA students were encouraged to participate actively and benefit from this valuable learning opportunity.
