Faculty Development Program on “Design Thinking for Educators – A Path Breaking Framework for Engaging Learners”

The Department of Microbiology, in association with IQAC, organized an enriching Faculty Development Program on “Design Thinking for Educators” to promote innovation, ideation, and creative problem-solving in teaching. Led by Mr. Saveen Hegde, CEO of Unbox and an international design thinking expert, the session introduced faculty to key principles such as empathizing, ideating, prototyping, and testing solutions.

The program featured engaging case studies from Unbox, hands-on activities, and collaborative workshops that helped participants apply design thinking to real classroom challenges. Faculty gained valuable insights into innovative teaching strategies, student-centred learning, and enhancing classroom engagement.

This FDP successfully inspired educators to integrate design thinking into their teaching practices, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement across the institution.
